Mixed Media Background

I did this in the wee hours of the morning...For some reason I could not sleep last night and instead of playing on my laptop I decided to go the "art studio" next to my bedroom.....This spread in a handmade journal is what happened......Inspired by Monica Zuniga's mixed media background workshop .......I will journal in it someday and maybe even add more to it.......

I started this some time ago and did not like the background so I changed it up ....it was too dark..I like to see the progress of things that I am working on and this is a good place for me to log my WIP's.....The new baby is here and now I can play with all of my art...Yippeeeeeee

Here is Piper Jane, 20 minutes old, with her big sister, Annie Kate.....

Katherine, I am so proud of you...

My grand daughter, Katherine, is a wonderful dancer...She dances with the Brasstown Dance Academy in NC...They recently went to a dance competition in SC and came home with several "gold" awards......Way to go girls.....a couple of pictures posted here.....2 of Katherine and the other of her dance team.....Love you Katherine....

New baby coming

Brand new grandbaby, Piper Jane, will be here on Wednesday, the 24th of February if all goes well.......Yah.....I will then be able to concentrate on "art"......

Relaxing on Snow Day

This is my 7yr old grand daughter relaxing in her bed on a day off of school...We live in the mountains of NC so they call school off quit often when it snows....I, myself, cannot get out off my driveway when it snows.....Am I sick of the snow????YES....Let there be spring....PLEASE!!!

Waiting for Baby

I am not getting much art done these past few days...I am sitting at my daughters house with my 7 year old granddaughter while my daughter is on "bed rest" until she is ready to deliver our new baby girl "Piper Jane"....It is a exhausting but exciting time.....I am taking 3 online classes so I have plenty of videos to watch while I try to get some relaxing time in.....
