Brown is the color of the week at
twinkle twinkle and i used chalk to do this portrait...just plain cheap chalk that i have in the studio for the kids to play with.....it is done on wood that i collaged papers on some time ago......lots of texture...i tried to capture the texture in my photo... the pop color is aqua but with chalk it did not pop as much as i would have liked it to..... but anyway, it was fun to do....and different .....

This piece is BEAUTIFUL!!
Absolutely DREAMY! And all this done with chalks? Brilliant. Her eyes are stunning, and I love the blush on her cheeks. The aqua pops enough for me!

Beautiful work, hard to believe this was done in chalks, wonderful. xx
So beautiful! I clicked on the pic and saw the full impact of the textural background. Amazing to think you did this with childrens' chalk.

I saw this on Facebook and thought that the textures were so subtle and soft that it could be digital! Of course I knew it wasn't so I was excited to see what you used - and chalk? Regular ole chalk?! You amaze me. This is incredibly beautiful. Thank you for sharing, xo

This is really pretty - she has such a pretty face! And I love the idea of doing a painting on a piece of wood.
