#16 for 29faces of may

i worked on this most of the day today...i don't know why...it almost hit the trash can a couple of times....it is on a collaged canvas....this canvas is doomed because this is the 3rd "painting try" on it.....but anyway, here it is as much as i dislike it, it is my face for this day.....it is 11x14............

Oh I am glad she survived the trash Janie... I think she is so sweet... there is definitely a softness to her... and maybe a 'I want to stick around look' :))

I think she i s lovely
perhaps you will look at her in a day or two and see her with fresh eyes.

i also enjoyed looking through your other faces. So many wonderful styles. #9 really caught my eye, i love the light you have portrayed in it.

She is just lovely, Janie, and I am so glad she survived. I know that feeling of frustration when all you want to do is "get it out of my sight!!" At least, that's how I feel sometimes but usually I can save it especially if it's acrylics. I am seeing that saving a painting is not as easy with oils. Your faces are wonderful and they are all telling a story with their expressions.

This one is great... The texture I can "feel".
I also, like the facial expression you captured here. :]

I'm surprised you do not like this- I was scrolling down and had to stop at this one for a longer look:). She's very calm and serene. I like.
